New England

Renewal

Some projects are about honoring the past and breathing new life into the once skillfully made. Originally built by a carpenter from New England and passed down through generations, this special kitchen featured Pecan cabinets in need of restoration and an updated arrangement. So, we turned doors into drawers and panels into trim and even converted bi-folds into 9’ tall pantry doors! Everything had to be inventoried, broken down, trimmed, routed, refigured and refinished in keeping with the original construction. Nothing could be wasted, which required exact calculations, accurate cuts and specific new creations! It came down to the very last boards and a few left over inches. The result speaks for itself - the New England Craftsman’s masterpiece lives on!
